Biography

Christopher Irene Imumolen, born on 5 September 1983, is a Nigerian politician, educationist, and serial entrepreneur who holds the title of Addo of Abaji.

He founded Joint Professional Training and Support International Limited (JPTS) in 2009, an educational institution that has trained over 30,000 certified professionals. Notable alumni include former Senator Dino Melaye.

In 2014, he established the UNIC Foundation—a non-profit aimed at supporting Nigerian businesses through grants and scholarships for widows and students—with a vision to empower four million businesses annually.

A professional with expertise in oil and gas, Imumolen served as President of the Onshore Offshore Oil and Gas Professional Association and was appointed Senior Technical Adviser on Oil and Gas matters by Akwa-Ibom State government. He also held roles such as Technical Safety Consultant for NAPECO Kuwait.

With two Ph.D.s in Engineering Research and Educational Management, three master’s degrees, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin and University of Lagos, he began his career as a Plant Engineer at BOC Gases Nigeria Plc in 2005.

His educational background spans primary school at Twins Nursery and Primary School (Lagos), secondary education at Nigeria Model High School (Idioro, Mushin) before pursuing degrees at multiple institutions including the University of Lagos and Global Wealth University.

Installed as Addo of Abaji in 2021 by His Royal Highness Adamu Baba Yunusa, Ona of Abaji, he emphasized community development, security collaboration with authorities, and plans to set up scholarship-funded educational institutions for indigenes.

In February 2022, Imumolen launched a two-billion-naira education trust fund benefiting entertainers like Musicians Small Doctor and B-Red. He framed it as an effort to encourage entertainment industry leaders to prioritize education for nation-building.

His empowerment programs have included grants for over 6,000 Nigerians in 2019 (ranging from $1,000–$10,000 per individual) and the release of more than 200 inmates on bailable offenses.

On 30 January 2021, he formally joined Accord Party to contest Nigeria’s presidential elections in 2023. At 39 years old, he became the youngest candidate in that election.
