Adewale Temitope Adedeji

Temitope Adedeji Adewale is a Nigerian politician from Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government in Lagos state, currently serving as the State Representative for Ifako-Ijaiye I constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Born into a political family, his father Dr. Elijah Adewale (known as JAH) was a member of the House of Representatives. Temitope founded Young Achievers Campaign Organisation Of Nigeria (YACOON) in 2009.

He began his education at Chrisland Nursery and Primary School before attending Government College Ketu Epe, Lagos (1993–1996), then Ifako International Secondary School (1996–1999). He later studied Est. Management at the University of Lagos (2000–2007) and obtained an MFM from there in 2016–2017.

Prior to his legislative career, Temitope worked with former Lagos governors Bola Tinubu and Babatunde Fashola as a political advisor. He held roles such as Special Assistant to the Governor on Budget Monitoring (2013–2014) and Lands Officer II in the Lands Bureau (2012–2013).

As a legislator, he has served as Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Transportation Committee. He also chaired committees on Health Services, Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation, Energy/Mineral Resources, and Housing.

Temitope has driven infrastructure projects in Ifako-Ijaiye, including the remodelled Iju Train Station and the reconstruction of the Ifako-Ijaiye Mini-Stadium. His educational initiatives, like the Adewale Temitope Educational Initiative (ATA-EI), provide free JAMB/GCE forms to students.

His recognitions include awards such as the Award of Excellence at the Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin Students Legislative Summit and a National Award—Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). He has also been honored by organizations like Tabitha Foundation and the National Youth Council.
