Biography

Danjuma Tella Laah, born on 16 February 1960, is a Nigerian politician and senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District in Kaduna state.

He has served as senator since 2015, holding office continuously until his re-election in 2019.

In the 2019 Senate Elections, he won as a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), defeating Yusuf Barnabas Bala of the All Progressives Congress with significantly higher votes.

As a senator, he advocated for peace between Christians and Muslims in southern Kaduna, aiming to reduce religious divides.

He sponsored bills for the establishment of a federal university in his jurisdiction, named Federal University of Science and Technology, Manchok, and a Police College in Tum.

Laah received the DINMA 2009 Award for Accounting while serving as deputy director of Finance and Accounts Division at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Pension Board, Abuja.
