Born circa 1952, he competed in the 2023 governorship election in Jigawa, running as a candidate in the state’s native region. His highest educational qualification is a First School Leaving Certificate, Senior Secondary School Certificate, and Masters degree. He partnered in the race with Ma’awi Lawan Wurno as his running mate.
