Biography
Hassan Usman Sokodabo is a Nigerian politician representing the Abaji/Gwagwalada/Kuje/Kwali Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Born in 1969, he won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket during the 2022 primaries and secured his second term in the National Assembly by winning at the 2023 elections.
He previously served as chairman of the Abaji Area Council and commissioner for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
Sokodabo co-sponsored a bill aimed at controlling Value Added Tax (VAT) at the state level, reflecting efforts to address economic policies.
To support his constituency, he distributed sewing machines, hairdressing equipment, sprayers, agrochemicals, generators, and grinding engines as community empowerment tools.
He also provided 670 bags of rice in Gwagwalada as palliative aid during the COVID-19 lockdown to alleviate economic hardship among constituents.
