Thaddeus Attah is a Nigerian politician and member-elect for the 10th National Assembly from Eti-Osa Federal Constituency of Lagos State on the ticket of Labour Party, LP.
Thaddeus, an 'unknown politician,' contested in the February 25, 2023 House of Representatives election for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State against the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Banky W (Olubankole Wellington), a well-known and award-winning musical artist, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Obanikoro, the incumbent member of the Federal House of Representatives running for a return ticket.
Obanikoro is the son of Musiliu Obanikoro, a well-known politician in Lagos State who was a Senator and Minister of State for Defence. Thaddeus' campaign was largely unnoticed, and he was initially perceived as a lowly-rated candidate to win against these opponents.
In the general election of February 25, 2023, Thaddeus sprung a surprise by polling a majority of 24,075 votes, defeating Banky W of the PDP, who scored 18,666 votes, and placing second. The APC candidate and incumbent member, Babajide Obanikoro, scored 16,901 votes, placing third.
Hours after the declaration of Thaddeus as the winner, Banky W commented that he expected to win and had already planned a church thanksgiving service for the following morning. He was also searching for a private office space and residential accommodation in Abuja ahead of his inauguration if he had won.
Thaddeus' victory over these two opponents marked one of the major political upsets in the 2023 general election, attributed to the influence of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

Will establish a Green Army to tap into $3 trillion in international climate finance for green growth, employment, and transition to a green economy.
Foreign Policy
Will actively engage in sub-regional and regional forums to enhance Nigeria’s leadership role in African affairs through constructive dialogue on challenges.
Governance & Reform
Will push for a policy on Common Regimentation Emolument Structure Table (CREST) to harmonize wages across federal public servants, military, and judiciary/academia, ensuring equal pay for comparable roles.
Healthcare
Develop a comprehensive occupational mapping of Nigeria’s healthcare system to generate data on human capacity, reverse brain drain, and stop medical tourism by leveraging Diaspora healthcare expertise.
Infrastructure
Will develop and complete a $2.3 billion Siemens deal to upgrade Nigeria’s power transmission grid, aiming for stable capacities of 7,000 MW by 2023, 11,000 MW by 2024, and 25,000 MW by 2025 through public-private partnerships.
