Political Career
Biography
Pepper Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo, born on 28 November 1955, was a Nigerian businessman and politician with ties to Lagos.
He served as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly for four terms, representing Kosofe constituency.
Before his political career, Osinowo worked in government roles, starting as a Land Officer at the Federal Ministry of Works from 1977 to 1979.
He later managed various companies, including NITAL International (1986β2003), NIMCO International Co. Ltd (1990β2003), Extreme Piling and Construction Company Ltd, and NIMCO Dredging Company (both 1990β2003).
His political ascent began in the Second Republic as a Youth Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) under Bashorun Bashorun Moshood Abiola.
Osinowo was elected to the 9th Nigerian National Assembly as Senator for Lagos East in 2019, where he served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries.
He died on 15 June 2020 from COVID-19 complications, buried the same day in Ijebu-Ode.
