Onuoha Miriam Odinaka

Miriam Odinaka Onuoha is a politician affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Imo State, Nigeria.

She represents Okigwe North federal constituency in the House of Representatives and was re-elected into this position after an election petition tribunal upheld her victory in January 2020.

Originally declared winner by Obinna Onwubuariri of the PDP in the 2019 elections, she secured a fresh mandate following a tribunal ruling that invalidated Onwubuariri’s victory and ordered a re-election.

Born in Umunachi Osu-Ama, Insiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, her early education began at Central School Umunachi Osu-Ama before continuing to Tilley Gyado College Markudi in Benue State.

She later attended Aquinas Model Secondary School Osu-Ama, earning a senior secondary certificate, and proceeded to study Estate Management at the University of Lagos, graduating with a degree there.

Her academic journey continued at the University of Abuja, where she earned a master’s degree in Environmental Planning and Protection.

Before her political career took off, Onuoha served as a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Bayelsa State on International Development Cooperation.
