Biography

Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii was born on 17 April 1975 and is a Nigerian businessman, philanthropist, and politician.

He serves as the founder and chairman of Orient Global Group, an enterprise based in Ebonyi State.

Odii’s early education took place at Isu-achara Primary School and Isu Secondary School in Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.

His formal academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria.

He holds an additional Doctor of Science Degree in Strategic Business Management & Corporate Governance conferred by the European American University in Panama.

Odii also completed the Chief Executive program at Lagos Business School.

Since 2021, he has been a member of the Lagos State University Governing Board, appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

He is on the board of Nnamdi Azikwe University’s Business School.

Odii was nominated as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Ebonyi State in the 2023 elections, where he secured 80,191 votes but lost to rival Chris Usulor.

In 2022, The Guardian recognized him among the top 50 CEOs contributing significantly to Nigeria’s GDP growth for 2021.

He was awarded Independent Newspaper’s Philanthropist of the Year and won the ‘Next Bull Awards’ at the Nigerian Investors Value Awards (NIVA) in 2021.

The Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation, co-founded with his wife, has built over 130 homes, six churches, and a 2.2 km road in Magodo, Lagos, while donating pallatives during COVID-19 to federal, state, and local governments.

His philanthropic efforts include providing scholarships for students in Ebonyi State.
