Usman A. Bello Kumo is a Nigerian politician who contested the 2019 House of Representative Elections as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Gombe. They won with 57K votes (66.75%).
Biography
Usman Bello Kumo is a Member of the House of Representatives representing Akko federal constituency in Gombe State.
He earned a degree in Law from Bayero University, Kano.
His political journey began with campus politics at Bayero University, where he became President of the Student Union Government during the 1997/1998 academic session.
He held the position of Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs in both the Seventh Assembly and later as Chief Whip of the 10th Assembly.
Kumo has served as two-time Chairman of Akko Local Government Area, born in Kumo, the headquarters of that local government.
He is the sole APC Member of the House of Representatives elected in Gombe State’s 2023 general elections after winning re-election from among six primary candidates.
