Biography
Ogbeide-Ihama Omoregie is a Nigerian politician and engineer who began his education in Benin City’s Emotan nursery and primary schools before enrolling at the Unity School, Federal Government College Warri.
He graduated from that institution in 1993 with a senior school diploma and later pursued higher studies, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Benin in 1999 with Second Class Honors (Upper Division).
In 2009, he completed an MBA in Oil and Gas Management at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.
He served as a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives, representing Oredo Federal Constituency from 2015 to 2023 on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform. His re-election was successful in 2019 before his term ended in 2023.
In 2022, he secured a senatorial ticket for Edo South Federal Constituency but lost the election.
He previously entered the 2024 Edo State gubernatorial race but withdrew on February 12, 2024.
