Ngwu Osita

Osita Ngwu is a Nigerian politician affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and currently serves as a member of the 10th Senate, representing Enugu West Senatorial District.

Born in Ngwo, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, obtained in 2001. He later earned an MBA at the University Roehampton London Business School in 2016.

He is a member of professional bodies like the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Mechanical Engineers Association (NMEA), and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

With expertise in oil and gas, he worked as an engineer, progressing from trainee to Executive Director on major projects such as OML Phase 1’s O.U.R pipeline and Shell’s tank upgrades.

After transitioning into entrepreneurship in 2016, he established large-scale businesses employing over 500 workers.

Politically active since 2018, he initially sought a House of Representatives seat for Udi/Ezeagu but withdrew. His 2023 PDP victory in Enugu West Senatorial District saw him win with 52,473 votes against Dennis Amadi’s 48,053.

He has delivered infrastructure projects like the Ogugu Ogbaku Link Road Phase 1 and solar-powered boreholes across Udi Local Government. He also rehabilitated markets, addressed erosion in farming access routes, and trained youths on cybersecurity.
