Biography

Benjamin Mzondu is a Nigerian politician representing the Guma/Makurdi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Born around 1980 and from Benue State, he initially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He succeeded Dominic Dickson Tarkighir as a representative after winning the 2019 elections under PDP, receiving approximately 50,454 votes.

In the 2023 House of Representative elections, Mzondu ran again for PDP but lost to his rival Dickson Tarkighir, who was affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mzondu later challenged the election result at the Elections Petitions Tribunal, citing allegations of falsification of documents by Tarkighir and Tarkighir’s ineligibility to contest.
