Bima Muhammad Enagi
Bima Muhammad Enagi is a Nigerian politician who contested the 2023 Nigerian Senate Elections as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Nasarawa.
Biography
Muhammad Bima Enagi, born on September 7, 1959, is a Nigerian politician and senator representing the Niger South Senatorial District in Niger State’s 9th National Assembly.
He earned a first degree in Quantity Surveying from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1982, followed by an MBA from the University of Lagos. He is an alumnus of Kings College, Lagos.
Enagi began his professional career with Owah Unik Consultants, Warri, before working as a Projects Officer at First Bank of Nigeria. He later joined the Central Bank of Nigeria, retiring as a Director.
Additionally, he has engaged in part-time lecturing at the Federal University of Technology, Minna. He holds fellowships with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and is a member of the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria.
His political career includes election as an APC candidate in the 2019 Niger South Senatorial District, where he secured 160,614 votes against Shehu Baba Agaie’s 90,978 votes.
He served as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and Debt Management, later acting as Chairman of the Agriculture Committee. His contributions notably supported Nigeria’s rice production efforts under President Buhari.
Enagi has also held adhoc committee chairmanships in the 9th Senate and other national bodies, leveraging his extensive public service experience.
Ranking as a grassroots mobilizer and politician, he remains an active member of the All Progressives Congress in Niger State.
