Biography

Tolulope Akande-Sadipe was born in Ibadan on March 29, 1966, within the Akande family lineage of that city.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from American University in Washington D.C., USA, in 1987, followed by a Master’s in International Business Management from Southeastern University in 1991.

Her early career included roles as an accountant at Enterprises for New Direction—a company handling U.S. presidential transportation logistics—and later worked with accounting firms like Gardiner Kamya & Associates in Washington D.C.

Between 1988 and 1992, she served as a seconded consultant to Peat Marwick (now KPMG), representing the firm on public sector audits for the District of Columbia government.

Tolulope later transitioned into corporate finance and consulting, working at institutions such as GT Bank, The Dangote Group, and founding Westlake Consultants in both Nigeria and the U.S.

Under Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s administration, she held advisory roles—first as Special Adviser on Projects (2016) and later as Special Adviser on Projects and Bureau of Investment Promotions (2017).

Elected into the House of Representatives in 2019 under the APC banner for Oluloye Federal Constituency, she became Oyo State’s sole female federal lawmaker. As chair of the House Committee on Diaspora, her work focuses on diaspora affairs and economic development.

In the 10th Assembly, she chairs the Committee on Humanitarian Services, emphasizing women’s empowerment, youth protection, and constituency-driven projects across Ibadan’s Oluloye division.
