Onjeh Daniel Donald is a Nigerian politician who contested the 2023 Nigerian Senate Elections as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Benue.
Biography
Daniel Onjeh is a Nigerian politician, activist, and former leader of prominent student organizations, including the President of the West African Students' Union and the National Association of Nigerian Students. He was born on December 13, 1973, in Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
He holds a bachelor's degree in political science and economics from the University of Ghana, Legon. His academic and leadership journey includes being elected President of the National Association of Nigerian Students in 2002 and subsequently President of the West African Students' Union in 2006.
Daniel Onjehβs political career includes contesting elections to the Senate for Benue South Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2015 and 2023, both times losing to incumbent senators David Mark and Abba Moro, respectively. In 2017, he was appointed Board Chairman of the Project Development Institute (PRODA) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He is married with children and has received several awards, including Ogbenjuwa KI'doma (2002), Most Outstanding Youth Leaderβs Awards (2003), Defender of Democracy Award (2006), and Icon of Benue Youths (2008).
