Biography
Michael Ama Nnachi (born 6 August 1964) is a Nigerian politician and Quantity Surveyor, representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District in the Nigerian 9th National Assembly.
He attended Government College Afikpo and earned a B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying from Enugu State University of Science and Technology in 1997. In 2000, he obtained his master's degree in Environmental Management from the same institution.
Professionally, he is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and a Corporate Administrator of Nigeria (FCAI). He is also a member of the Environmental Management Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) and the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (MCArb).
Politically, he served as Vice Chairman of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Investment Program Committee and the Air Force Committee from June 2019 to June 2023. In the February 2019 Ebonyi South Senatorial District election, he secured 103,751 votes to defeat rival Mr. Onu Nweze of the APC, who polled 19,663 votes.
His awards and honors include the Zenith Achievers International Merit Award, the African International Merit Award, and the Best Youth Corper Award (1998/99) from Gongola State.
