Garba Abubakar Zuru

Garba Abubakar Zuru is a Nigerian politician affiliated with the All Progressives Democratic Party (ADP), running for Kebbi State governorship in 2023. As the ADP candidate, he competed against Umar Muhammed Dangara, his designated running mate, but ultimately lost the election.

His qualification is recorded as FSLC (Federal School of Land Surveying and Civil Engineering). Zuru’s political profile is distinct from that of Atiku Bagudu, another prominent Kebbi politician, whose background includes roles as former Kebbi governor (2015–2023), former senator for Kebbi Central (2009–2015), and current minister of budget and economic planning.

Bagudu holds qualifications in Economics and International Affairs and has been involved in Kebbi’s governance, including anti-corruption efforts, asset recovery, civil service reforms, and infrastructure projects such as roads, schools, water, hospitals, agriculture, and rural utilities.
