Bio

Frank Nnaemeka Nweke Jr (born 18 September 1965) is a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, teacher, and social innovator. A two-time federal minister and former Director General of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), he emerged APGA's governorship candidate for Enugu in the 2023 general election after winning the party primary in May 2022. He ran with Ugwuanyi Edith Ngozi as running mate and lost the election.

Nweke is a Senior Visiting Fellow at Lagos Business School and a faculty member at the School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG), where he teaches Ethics and Values. He is an Edward S. Mason Fellow and an Aspen Institute alumnus. He speaks Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa fluently.

Born in Kano to the family of late Igwe Frank Nweke of Ishi Ozalla, Nkanu West LGA of Enugu State, he had his early schooling in Lagos and Maiduguri before earning a BTech in Zoology from the Federal University of Technology, Yola. He later obtained a master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri and a second master's in Public Administration plus a Strategic Management certificate from Harvard Kennedy School in 2007. He was President of the Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association of Nigeria from 2020 to 2022 and began his career as General Manager of FONA Nigeria Limited in Enugu.
