He earned a degree in English Studies from Usmanu Danfodiyo University in 1987 and later obtained a master’s degree in English Studies from Bayero University Kano in 1995.

Founded Blueprint in 2011, he took over Kings Broadcasting Network in November 2019.

In the APC Niger governorship primary election, he polled 154 votes, losing to Umar Bago, who polled 386 votes.
