Bio

Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii (born 17 April 1975) is a Nigerian businessman, philanthropist, and politician. He is founder and chairman of Orient Global Group and was the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ebonyi State in 2023, running with Igwe Paulinus Nwagu. He is from Isu in Onicha LGA of Ebonyi State and polled 80,191 votes in the election, which he lost.

In 2022, Guardian Newspaper listed him among 50 CEOs recognized for impact on Nigeria’s GDP growth in 2021, and he also received Independent Newspaper’s Philanthropist of the Year award. He won the Next Bull Award in 2021 at the Nigerian Investors Value Awards organized by BusinessDay and the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Through the Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation, which he runs with his wife, he has supported social projects including more than 130 homes for poor people, six churches, and a 2.2 km road in Magodo, Lagos. During the COVID-19 period, the foundation donated 150 million naira to the federal, Lagos State, and Ebonyi State governments and distributed palliatives, while also providing scholarships for students in Ebonyi State.

Odii attended Isu-Achara Primary School and Isu Secondary School in Ebonyi State. He earned a BSc in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria, received a Doctor of Science degree in Strategic Business Management and Corporate Governance from the European American University in Panama, and completed the Chief Executive Programme at Lagos Business School. He has served on the Lagos State University Governing Board and on the board of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Business School, and secured the PDP governorship ticket with 349 primary votes against Chris Usulor’s nine.
