Bwacha Emmanuel, born on 15 December 1962 in Donga, contested the 2023 Taraba governorship election as APC candidate with Iliyasu Idris Kirim as running mate and polled 142,502 votes. He is described as a Nigerian politician who served as senator for Taraba South from 2011 to 2023.

According to the profile, he first won the Senate seat on the PDP platform in 2011 and retained it in 2015 and 2019. It adds that in the April 2011 election he scored 106,172 votes against 80,256 for an ACN opponent, and that his emergence followed PDP primaries in which he was favored by then-Governor Danbaba Suntai.
